SFIS Student Achievement Awards
Every year, the student achievement award recognizes six students from each SFIS program for outstanding student achievement within their degree programs (HSD, IGD, MSTP, GTD, PIT, FIS). While these awards may go to students who show outstanding academic achievement, they may also be equally awarded for achievement in other areas. The benchmark for the award is an achievement in personal objectives, goals and overcoming hurdles; it is not achievement compared to others in the program. Recipients can be nominated by students, staff or faculty and selected by their corresponding degree program committees.
Student Achievement award nominations will be reviewed by their corresponding degree program committees.
- GTD Personal Achievement Award presented to Allison Hoops
- HSD Personal Achievement Award presented to Yasmin Afshar
- IGD Personal Achievement Award presented to Yagana Hafed
- MSTP Personal Achievement Award presented to Cat Swetel
- PIT Personal Achievement Award presented to Nathan Dyer
- FIS Undergraduate Award presented to Lauren Richards
Champion of the Future
Awarded to a student, group of students, or team across any SFIS degree programs for an activity, project, or accomplishment within one of four areas: Building a better future for everyone; community building; personal achievement; or outstanding excellence. Recipients can be nominated by students, staff or faculty and selected by an ad-hoc committee.
Champion of the Future award nominations will be reviewed by an award committee consisting of the SFIS leadership.
