About the speaker:  Pinar Yoldas is an infradisciplinary designer, artist and researcher. Her work develops within biological sciences and digital technologies through architectural installations, kinetic sculpture, sound, video and drawing with a focus on post-humanism, anthropocene and feminist technoscience. Though her work she explores novel ways of knowledge production and dissemination. Her vast educational background includes a Ph.D. from Duke University, an MFA from UCLA, a BArch from METU, an MS and an MA from Istanbul Bilgi Univeristy and ITU. MacDowell Colony, UCross, Transmediale, Quartier 21 Vienna, Duke University and Roman J. Witt residency at University of Michigan Ann Arbor are among her artist residencies. Her work has been featured in Vogue Turkey, Arte, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, Creators project, Artlink, Artnews among many. Her book “an Ecosystem of Excess” was published by Argobooks, in 2014. Pinar is the recipient of EU FEAT and the Guggenheim Fellowship in the Arts.
