February 27, 2016

Arizona State University Night of the Open Door @ Tempe is a rare opportunity to get a behind the scenes look into the spaces that house our most innovative projects. ASU Night of the Open Door offered the opportunity to hear firsthand from ASU students and faculty about rare poisonous insects, space exploration, volcanoes, drones and robots, medical breakthroughs and Mayan discoveries. Interactive hands-on activities offered a wide spectrum of sciences, engineering, humanities and the arts. ASU Night of the Open Door @ Tempe is "THE" night to come experience the creative energy that powers a world-class university! AzSciTech FestivalASU is a foundational partner of the Arizona SciTech Festival and ASU Night of the Open Door @ Tempe is a signature event.

Children built  scribble-bots out of simple materials. This family-friendly activity explored themes related to creation, science, and society inspired by Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. In addition to building a simple machine that can draw, families explored additional activities and demonstrations and contributed to a large-scale collaborative artwork.
