Take a moment to explore your world locally and globally while contributing to real scientific research

Together with SciStarter and the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, the ASU Library invites you to a one-hour ASU Citizen Science Month Sampler Celebration!

Choose from a variety of scientific missions! You can accelerate Alzheimer’s research, document change in weather and climate in your community, help scientists measure the curvature of spiral arms in galaxies or gather light pollution data, photograph insects and other animals, or help create a national inventory of tap water pipes!

This event, hosted on Zoom and archived in Canvas, will introduce you to citizen science as well as connect you to more than 3,000 projects in SciStarter, in addition to:

  • Showing you how to check your drinking water pipes through ICrowd the Tap."

  • Joining Team ASU and playing gamified Alzheimer’s research through "Stall Catchers."

  • Tagging Costa Rican wildlife species via Osa Camera TrapNetwork.

  • Showing you how to earn a SciStarter and ASU Citizen Science Month Contributor Badge.

This is a virtual event. We hope you can join us!
