The series meets each semester and includes a range of activities, such as student or faculty member presentations, community discussions, and outside speakers. To strengthen the interdisciplinary character of the programs, the series may, periodically, meet jointly with one or more other series (e.g., CSPO Enlightening Lunch), to take advantage of speakers or events of mutual interest.
The series is offered for one credit as HSD 610: Colloquium. Students enrolled in the HSD doctoral degree are required to accumulate at least four credits of HSD 610.
The home schools of HSD faculty members on occasion feature speakers of general interest to the HSD community. Such series are listed below.
Center for Biology and Society
The Center sponsors workshops, a bioethics film series, and occasional outside speakers. Check the web page periodically; new events are added as they are planned.
School of Human Evolution and Social Change Colloquia
